The 1975 German Grand Prix was held on 3 August 1975. The race was run over 14 laps of the 22.8-kilometre circuit for a race distance of 319 kilometres, and was won, after a dominant display of speed and talent, by Argentinian driver Carlos Reutemann, who had started in tenth, his first win of the season, driving a Brabham BT44B (picture-above).

Reutemann won by 1 minute and 37 seconds over the Williams FW04 of French driver Jacques Laffite. It was a stunning result for Laffite, his first point scoring finish in Formula One. It was also the peak result for Frank Williams Racing Cars, the first Formula One team run by British team principal, Frank Williams.

It was Brabham’s second win of the 1975 season, after Carlos Pace’s victory at the Brazilian Grand Prix. Reutemann had a strong championship: besides this win at the Nürburgring, he was very consistent at the front with 5 more podiums (3rd in Spain, picture-below), and finished third in the final standings. And what a pretty car this Gordon Murray-designed BT44 was! Niki Lauda (Ferrari) was crowned for the first time.
