Podium! Maurizio Flammini (third), Claude Bourgoignie (second) and Jacques Laffite (the winner) celebrate their great battle on the podium of the Hockenheim round of the 1975 European Formula 2 Championship.
The 1975 European Formula Two season was contested over 14 rounds. Automobiles Martini (a French constructor) driver Jacques Laffite clinched with seven victories, the championship title. He was soon going to be signed by the new Ligier F1 team.
That year, Italian Maurizio Flammini, in a Trivellato March 742-BMW, won at the Mugello and finished third at Hockenheim and Zolder, while this second place at Hockenheim was Belgian Claude Bourgoignie’s best result of the season, in his Bang & Olufsen Team Michel Vaillant March 742-BMW (picture-below).
