Tazio Nuvolari (1892-1953) was an Italian racing driver. Originally of Mantua, he was the greatest talent of his era and was nicknamed Il Mantovano Volante (“the Flying Mantuan”).

His victories – 72 major races, 150 in all – included 24 Grand Prix, two Mille Miglias, two Targa Florios, a Le Mans 24-hour race (1933), the Monaco Grand Prix (1932) and a European Championship (1932) in Grand Prix racing.
