Oscar Piastri (20) is a very promising racing driver from Melbourne, Australia. Supported by Mark Webber, and member of the Alpine Academy, he is the new Formula 2 champion.
It is his third consecutive title, few drivers in history have done so, after Formula Renault in 2019 and Formula 3 in 2020. Too bad there is no race seat in Formula 1 for him yet. Actually, it feels very wrong (but thats the F1 nowadays…) that such a talent is not, right away, picked up by an F1 team. The Australian must settle for the role of reserve driver in the Alpine F1 team in 2022, in the hope his chance will come.
