The McLaren MP4/4 is one of the most successful Formula One car designs of all time. Powered by Honda’s RA168E 1.5 litre V6-turbo engine and driven by Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna, it dominated, with 15 wins out of 16 races, the 1988 F1 season.

Here at the Hungaroring, Ayrton Senna won the race from pole position, with French team mate Alain Prost second and Belgian Thierry Boutsen third in a Benetton-Ford. It was Senna’s sixth win of the season.
