Four cool lads
We are in Great-Britain in 1964, and no, these four cool guys are not the Beatles !
On this document, the four cool guys are Lotus 25 drivers : Jim Clark and Mike Spence (bare chested) were driving for the works Team Lotus, the young Chris Amon (20 years old) and the formidable Mike “the Bike” Hailwood were driving the ones fielded by Reg Parnell.
In this first British Grand Prix held at Brands Hatch, Jim Clark (picture below) won in front of Graham Hill (BRM) and John Surtees (Ferrari). Very British indeed…
