Fast in a Force India
Paul di Resta (born 16 April 1986) was a winner in F3, in the DTM and the WEC, but never had the cars to win in Formula One, although he drove some excellent races for Force India in 2012 and 2013, including a fine 4th in Singapore in 2012 ahead of Nico Rosberg’s Mercedes (picture-above).
Paul di Resta is a racing driver from Scotland, currently competing in the World Endurance Championship for Peugeot Sport in their LMH entry. He drove in Formula One for Force India from 2011 to 2013, scored 121 career points, and became a reserve drover for Williams F1 team in 2016, driving a single race for them as a substitute driver 2017.
He later became a reserve F1 driver for McLaren for the 2022 season, and a commentator for Sky Sports’ coverage of F1. Di Resta is of Italian descent but was born in Uphall, Scotland and is a cousin of racing drivers Dario and Marino Franchitti, his best finish in the 24 Hours of Le Mans is fifth in 2020. A solid pair of hands, definitely.
