Achille Varzi and his teammate Tabacchi, in their Alfa Romeo P2, won the 1930 Targa Florio after completing all five laps of the circuit, for a total of 540 km. Varzi’s best lap time that year was 1 hour, 31 minutes and 3 tenths of a second, at an average speed of 79.646 km/h.
