“The real priorities in life”

Sebastian Vettel has decided to leave the Scuderia Ferrari at the end of 2020. Citing “a lack of common desire to stay together”, as the main reason for his leaving, Vettel alluded, and that’s interesting, the current Corona crisis as an element in his decision: “What’s been happening in the past few months has led many of us to reflect on what are our real priorities in life.”

He added: “I myself will take the time I need to reflect on what really matters when it comes to my future.”

What does Vettel mean by that ? What really matters is it? Being desired by your (new) team ? Find again the joy of driving ? Or just retire and enjoy family and life in general?

In the meantime, people speculate and imagine the German landing a seat at McLaren, Renault, Aston Martin or even Mercedes. We will know in due time.
