Known for his love of motor racing, Lord Alexander Hesketh founded Hesketh Racing in 1972, is remembered for competing in Formula One from 1973 to 1978. He once declared: “Men love women, but even more than that, men love cars.”

The team was famous for its flamboyant and patriotic approach to the sport, and for refusing sponsorship, deemed vulgar. Between 1973 and 1975 Hesketh Racing enjoyed some success with English driver James Hunt (picture below in 1975), including winning the 1975 Dutch Grand Prix.
