After a pause in 1949, Alfa Romeo made a comeback in racing with a new team consisting of Giuseppe Farina, Juan Manuel Fangio and Luigi Fagioli.

Meanwhile, the “Alfetta Type 158” now produced 350 hp at 9300 rpm. In 1950, Alfa Romeo achieved 11 victories in 11 races, including all six rounds of the recently established World Championship for drivers, won by Farina (picture-below).
