Le Mans 1965. The Ford GT of Ken Miles-Bruce McLaren (1) and Phil Hill-Chris Amon (2) wait patiently surrounded by tiny caravans and folding chairs in the paddock.
Ford returned to Le Mans with an improved version of its GT. Despite a strong start, the Ford GT’s were let down again by unreliability and it was an easy victory for Ferrari for the sixth consecutive year.
Victory went to the North American Racing Team (NART) entered Ferrari 250LM of Masten Gregory and Jochen Rindt (picture below).
