“Determined to put a fight on”
Simon Pagenaud, the 2019 Indianapolis 500 winner, and runner-up in the NTT IndyCar series tell us how he feels just minutes after climbing out of his car, after the last race of the season at Laguna Seca.
“I had so much fun in practice that I was literally giggling over the radio … love driving a car with this much race pace. Love this race track, fast and challenging, what a joy to be driving at Laguna Seca”.
“We pushed very hard during qualifying, we didn’t leave anything on the table, just didn’t have what was needed to challenge for pole, but were determined to put a fight in the no.22 car”.
“I gave it all during the race, finished 4th and second in the championship, which is a good result. Yeah, it was a good year, and that is an understatement !”
“So thankful to be part of the championship fight this year, so thankful to have won the Indy 500, thanks to team Penske, and big congrats to Josef”.
