F1’s last great privateer
Eddie Jordan has passed away at the age of 76. He was the former owner of Eddie Jordan Racing and Jordan Grand Prix amongst others, and was one of F1’s last great privateers who won Grand Prix and brought many young drivers to the summit.

Journalist Adam Cooper reflects: “The name (Jordan) has changed but AstonMartinF1 will be his legacy – also because of his role getting Adrian Newey in there.”
“It’s good to know that on the day Adrian Newey was announced at AstonMartinF1, Eddie Jordan visited the new base next to the original Jordan GP site and was able to see how the team now looks – and he had an emotional reunion with the guys he employed and who are still working there.”
