Marcus Ericsson, born 2 September 1990 in the same city Örebro as his idol Ronnie Peterson, is a Swedish racing driver. He spent five season in Formula One, with Caterham and Sauber (4 seasons), before crossing the Atlantic Ocean and trying his luck in the IndyCar Series.
He joined Chip Ganassi Racing in 2021 and in 78 starts, won 4 races, including a fantastic win in the 2022 Indianapolis 500 (picture below). He has now signed a multi-year contract with Andretti Autosport for 2024 and beyond.
