Lord Alexander Hesketh founded Hesketh Racing in 1972, and competed in Formula 1 from 1973 to 1978. The team was famous for its flamboyant and patriotic approach to the sport, and the refusing of sponsorship deemed ‘vulgar’.
Fitting in perfectly well was hard charger, straight-talking and hard partying James Hunt, who won the only Grand Prix Hesketh ever won, the 1975 Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort.
