Johnny Servoz-Gavin in the USA

Johnny Servoz-Gavin (1942-2006) above at Watkins Glen in 1969, where (with Pedro Rodriguez) at the wheel of his Matra MS650 with which he had participated the day before in the 6 Hours of Watkins Glen, did not hesitate to take on the big cubes of the Can-Am, the V8 monsters such as the McLaren, Lola, Chaparral and the Ferrari 612 6 liters, and finished ninth.

He participated in 13 Formula One World Championship Grands Prix between 1967 and 1970, qualifying in all but one. He achieved one podium, and scored a total of nine championship points. He drove for the Tyrrell Formula One team, mainly as Jackie Stewart’s teammate.
