Helmut Marko is an Austrian former racing driver and current advisor to the Red Bull Racing team and head of Red Bull’s driver development program.

He was an excellent and promising Formula 1 driver, but an eye injury sustained at the 1972 French Grand Prix put an end to his racing career.

Helmut Marko and Gijs van Lennep won the 1971 Le Mans 24 Hours, driving a Porsche 917K.
