Gordon Murray CBE, is a South-African born British designer of Formula One racing cars and the McLaren F1 road car. 

Picture above taken in 1975, at the South African Formula One Grand Prix held at Kyalami, where Gordon oversees the efforts of his two Brabham drivers: Carlos Reutemann and Carlos Pace.

He designed the Brabham F1 cars from 1973 to 1986, and his cars achieved in this period 22 Grand Prix wins, and gave Nelson Piquet the Drivers’ Championship in 1981 and 1983.

Murray then moved to McLaren, and over the period 1988 to 1991 the McLaren team won four consecutive Constructors’ and Drivers’ championship.
