Eddie Cheever is an American former racing driver who raced for almost 30 years in Formula 1, Sports Cars, CART, and in the Indy Racing League.
Cheever participated in 143 Grand Prix , driving for 9 different teams. In 1997, he formed his own IRL team and won the 1998 Indianapolis 500 as both owner and driver.
Cheever is seen here in 1988, where he secured third place for the Italian Grand Prix at Monza driving for the USF&G Arrows team.
