1970 Spa-Francorchamps 1000 km: Brian Redman and Jo Siffert seem in excellent mood on the grid a few minutes before the start.
The race was one of the greatest sports car races of the 1970’s. Some of the top drivers in the world (Siffert, Rodriguez, Ickx, Redman, Elford) were battling at the most fearsomely fast circuit in Europe, and there was the greatest confrontation possible: Porsche against Ferrari.
Jo Siffert and Brian Redman won in their JW Automotive entered Gulf-Porsche 917K, followed by Jacky Ickx and John Surtees in a works Ferrari 512S.
