Glorious times

Ronnie Peterson and Hans J. Stuck formed a fantastic pairing for the 1975 ADAC Norisring 200 race in the works BMW. As predicted, they qualified their superb BMW 3 .0 CSL on pole in front of 200.000 spectators, but had to retire in the race with brake problems.
These were glorious times, when F1 drivers did not hesitate to race in different categories, each and every week-end. It was a great opportunity for them to have fun in powerful cars… and to make some money! Another active Formula 1 driver, Jochen Mass, won the race in his works Ford Capri RS 3100 (picture below, left).
