Swede Savage

American Swede Savage (1946-1973) set the fast times during qualifying for the 1973 Indy 500, he even broke the track record and ended up starting from fourth on the grid (picture-above). Sadly he died at the age of 26 from complications while recovering from injuries suffered in a crash during the 1973 Indianapolis 500.
