Splendid picture of Roger Penske in person applying a well-controled opposite lock, at the wheel of his NART Ferrari 250 GTO, avoiding contact with the John Coombs-entered Jaguar Type E Lightweight driven, by Jack Sears at the 1963 Tourist Trophy at Goodwood.
Victory went to another GTO, the one entered by Maranello Concessionaires driven by Graham Hill (picture below), in front of the sister car of Mike Parkes and the first Jaguar in the capable hands of Roy Salvadori. Sears finished fourth and Penske in eighth position.
Picture below: Graham Hill, Ferrari 250 GTO, entered by Maranello Concessionaires, winner.
