Bruno Giacomelli joined the Toleman Motorsport team for the 1983 Formula One season. Picture above: Bruno Giacomelli, Candy Toleman-Hart TG183 at the 1983 French Grand Prix held at the Paul-Ricard circuit, where the Italian was classified 13th.
The TG183B used that season was designed by Rory Byrne, had a carbon monocoque, was powered by the Hart 415T 1.5L turbo engine, and was distinctive in that it had twin rear wings and front wing mounted radiators.
Bruno Giacomelli was outperformed that year by his team mate Derek Warwick, though he managed to pick up a final F1 point, with sixth place, at the 1983 European Grand Prix at Brands Hatch (picture below).
