Jacky Ickx (born 1 January 1945 in Brussels) turned 75.
The great Belgian champion achieved 8 Grand Prix victories and 25 podiums in Formula 1, six Le Mans 24 Hours wins. He also won the Can-AM Championship in 1979 and is a former winner of the Dakar Rally.
Ickx twice finished as championship runner-up in Formula One, in 1969 and 1970, and is widely considered as one of the all-times greats and a survivor of an era where racing was so dangerous.
