Racing in all its simplicity … Belgian karting legend François Goldstein, above in the paddock of the Nivelles circuit, near Brussels, during the 1973 world championship.

Goldstein would go on to win the karting world championship five times, but in 1973 he would lose to another karting legend, Terry Fullerton, who would later become Ayrton Senna’s teammate at DAP.

Before being dethroned by Mike Wilson, François Goldstein was long the most successful Driver in the history of Karting, with five World Championships acquired between 1969 and 1975.

The Belgian led the way for many competitors in approaching his favourite discipline in a very professional manner. From the preparation of the equipment to the management of his races, François Goldstein transformed a fledgling talent into a formidable winning machine.
