The two Hondas of Americans Ronnie Bucknum and Richie Ginther are pushed, in the opposite direction, towards the starting grid of the 1965 Belgian Grand Prix, held on a very day, the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. Ginther qualified in an excellent fourth and will finish sixth, while Bucknum is further down the grid in eleventh, but will be forced to retire on lap 9, gearbox broken.

The race was won by Jim Clark who led every lap of the race, driving a Lotus 33. It was one of the Scot’s most dominant wins. In the pouring rain, he pulled away and with a third of the race to go, was leading Jackie Stewart (BRM) by 1 minute and 20 seconds. He then eased off, and when the checkered flag was waved, his lead was down to just under 45 seconds. Ginther in his Honda (picture-below), finished sixth and scored one point.
