Forza… Ford!

Alongside the film “Le Mans 66” currently on our screens, a nod to two drivers of Italian origin entered by the Ford armada against the Scuderia Ferrari: the young American Mario Andretti and the Belgian Lucien Bianchi, together on the Ford GT40 MkII #6 of the Holman & Moody team (retired after 8 hours of racing, broken engine).

Note in the foreground, photo above, the presence of Léon Sven (in blue blazer), the president of the Royal Automobile Club of Spa, grand master of the Francorchamps circuit at the time and organizer of the 1000 km of Spa.
