Ferrari territory

Targa Florio 1965. The Scuderia San Stefano-entered Ferrari 250 LM #136 chassis 5891 driven by Antonio Nicodemi and Francesco Lessona passes through a Sicilian village. The Italians will finish the race in 14th position.

For this 49th edition of the Targa Florio, the Scuderia Ferrari deployed three of their new prototype-class, 3.3L 275 P2. Porsche responded with the 904 in its various iterations. The race was ultimately dominated by the works Ferrari 275 P2 driven by Sicilian Nino Vaccarella and Lorenzo Bandini (picture-below).
