The Italian Grand Prix was held at Monza on 7 September 1975. It was race 13 of 14 in both the 1975 World Championship of Drivers and the International Cup for Formula One Manufacturers.

The Italian supporters were gathered in expectation of Ferrari gaining their first championship in 11 years-on home ground, with many Austrians travelling to Monza to support Niki Lauda who only needed a 5th place to claim his first world title.

Lauda delighted the tifosi by claiming pole position in front of team-mate Clay Regazzoni on Saturday. In the race, Niki the calculator, didn’t force his talent and finished 3rd and was crowned 1975 World Champion, Regazzoni won the Grand Prix, and Ferrari won the Constructors’ Championship. A perfect day for the Scuderia.
