Strange destiny, the one that unites Jo Siffert and Pedro Rodriguez, team mates but also rivals in the legendary Gulf Porsche 917, in John Wyer’s team in 1970 and 1971.
Their fantastic duel on the Spa toboggan will remain in the history books (picture below).
The two men will both sadly lose their life in 1971, the Mexican during an Interserie race at the Norisring in a Ferrari 512M, and the Swiss, in a non-championship F1 race at Brands Hatch at the wheel of his BRM.
