A casting error, Flavio?

Ferrari’s season is far from satisfying so far. The Scuderia lays 4th in the Constructors standings with a deficit of more than 100 points to rival Mercedes, after just four races.

Always outspoken, Flavio Briatore (picture above) believes that while team-principal Mattia Binotto (picture here-under) is a competent engineer, he’s not the right person to be Ferrari’s team-principal. Casting error, Flavio?

FB: “The role of team-principal is fundamental in Formula One, he’s the one who shows the way to go and makes sure everyone follows. At Ferrari, one of the problems is precisely the fact that the technical coordinator has become the team-principal. Now Ferrari doesn’t have a technical coordinator nor an experienced team-principal in these roles.”

FB: “Ferrari has a noble name, has an important budget and is the dream of any driver, but since a few years, when it goes to the track, it has big problems. The reason is a lack of strong leadership that steers the whole team in the right direction.”

  1. I think that Falvio is pretty right, they need a guy tough, a guy who gives directions to the team and who is “feared” and followed w/out questions, to the limit, Arrivabene was better…
