Charlie Whiting

Charlie Whiting (1952-2019) was a British motorsports director. He served as the FIA Formula One Race Director in which capacity he inspected the cars in parc fermé before a race, enforced FIA rules, and controlled the lights and the starting procedure at each Grand Prix. A very popular and respected person in the paddock and a sad loss.
