Jack Brabham negotiates the Loews hairpin in his Brabham BT7-Climax during the 1964 Monaco Grand Prix (see complete photo above). The Australian qualified second, a tenth behind Jim Clark and his Lotus-Climax, but was forced to retire on lap 29 due to fuel injection problems.

The Brabham BT7 is a Formula 1 single-seater that was very competitive in 1963 and 1964 with Jack Brabham (three podiums) and Dan Gurney, who won two Grand Prix in 1964 at the wheel, in France (photo below) and South Africa. Its efficient aerodynamics made it particularly effective on fast circuits, such as Monza and Spa.
