At Philip Island, Vince Johnson captured the Ferrari 250 LM chassis 5909 for us in great detail, and so we did some research. Along with a truly great history with participations at Sebring and Le Mans, we found that it was once owned by Sonny Bono, of Sonny and Cher. Well they had a lot of Ferraris.

But the 250 LM was a different beast, having won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1965, in the hands of Jochen Rindt and Masten Gregory. Chassis 5909 seen here-under, was less glorious though, although it raced at Le Mans in 1964 (dnf) in the hands of Jochen Rindt and David Piper and in numerous races in the USA.
