1951 Swiss Formula One Grand Prix at Bremgarten, round 1: the Alfa Romeo 159A driven by Emmanuel (Toulo) de Graffenried, started fifth and also finished fifth of this rain-sodden race. Juan Manuel Fangio (Alfa Romeo) took pole position, fastest lap and victory, ahead of the Ferrari driven by Piero Taruffi and the second Alfa Romeo of Nino Farina in third.
