Jules Bianchi (1989 – 2015) was a French racing driver who drove for the Marussia F1 Team in Formula One. Bianchi had previously successfully raced in F3, Formula Renault 3.5, then in GP2 and was a Ferrari Academy member.
Sadly, on 5 October 2014, during the Japanese Formula One Grand Prix, Bianchi lost control of his Marussia in very wet conditions and collided with a recovery vehicle (that should never have been there unless the race was red-flagged), suffering fatal head injuries.
