On the 5th of September we remember Jochen Rindt, who fatally crashed on this day at the 1970 Italian Grand Prix at Monza.
He is seen here (left) with Piers Courage and Jacky Ickx, early 1970.
At the time of the accident, Jochen Rindt was leading the championship by a great enough margin to become the only driver to be posthumously crowned World Champion.
