Jo Siffert (7 July 1936 – 24 Oct 1971) was a Swiss racing driver. He was an excellent Formula 1 driver and an outstanding endurance racer. In Formula 1, he scored two Grand Prix victories and 6 podiums in 96 starts. In endurance racing, he won the 1970 Targa Florio, the 1968 24 Hours of Daytona, the 1969 and 1970 1000 km of Francorchamps and many more endurance races, always for Porsche.
Sadly he died at the 1971 non-championship F1 race ‘Victory Race’ driving his BRM at Brands Hatch.
