Jim Clark (1936-1968) was a British racing driver from Scotland, who won two Formula One World Championships, in 1963 and 1965. A versatile driver, fantastically gifted, he also competed in sports cars, touring cars and in the Indianapolis 500.

His association with the Lotus marque and his founder Colin Chapman was remarquable. Together, they dominated the F1 for a decade and even won the Indy 500. Sadly, he perished in a Formula 2 race at Hockenheim on April 7, 1968. He is widely considered as one of the greatest drivers in the sports history.

“Clark’s talent was even greater than he showed us. He never reached his limit. He only used 90% of his talent, which makes the gap between him and the other drivers even bigger” – Colin Chapman.

At Spa-Francorchamps the reigning World Champion Jim Clark achieves a superiour victory in his Lotus 25 with the Climax-V8 engine.
