Boutsen and the empty pits

Thierry Boutsen’s very distinctive helmet design, based on the Belgian national colours (picture-above). The fast and reliable Belgian, here on the grid in pole position, will win the 1990 Hungarian Grand Prix in a Williams-Renault that day, narrowly beating, extraordinary performance, his friend Senna in his McLaren.
The Belgian drove a flawless race from pole position, held off the attacks of non-other than Ayrton Senna, won the race, only to find… an empty garage and nobody at Williams to congratulate him after the podium celebrations! The whole team was already at the airport… Shame.
