David Brabham, born on September 5, 1965, is one of the sons of the legendary three-time Australian world champion Jack Brabham. He made 24 Formula 1 starts for the Brabham and Simtek teams between 1990 and 1994, but failed to score any points driving for these cash-stricken teams.

On the other hand, he distinguished himself in endurance racing, whether in the American or European Le Mans Series, in the FIA GT World Championship and at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, an event which he won in 2009 with Marc Gené and Alex Wurz on a Peugeot 908 HDi, after having twice won his class on Aston Martin DBR9s.

In Monaco in 1994, in a heavy atmosphere because everyone had Ratzenberger and Senna in their thoughts, David Brabham did well to qualify the only Simtek entered in 22nd position, but was forced to retire on lap 45 with a broken engine.
