The ‘Kaiser’ reigns in the Stadium

Hockenheim 1995. Damon Hill (Williams-Renault) started the race from the pole position. Michael Schumacher (Benetton-Renault) alongside him on the front row. After making a good start, Hill spun on lap 2 across the gravel trap and into the barriers. The cause, a broken driveshaft. Schumacher then won the race easily from Coulthard (Williams) and Berger (Ferrari) to the delight of the German crowd. This victory gave Schumacher a healthy lead in the championship.

  2. Damon Hill                35 points
  3. Jean Alesi                    32 points
