For the Formula 2 Temporada held in the winter of 1968 in Argentina, the two works Tecno’s were equipped with impressive high rear wings: on the picture above, Clay Regazzoni is leading fellow Swiss Jo Siffert on the Buenos Aires Autodromo before enjoying the summer down under at the local pool (picture here-under).
The driver from Ticino was at the beginning of his international career and was going to win the European F2 championship two years later, the year of his F1 debut with Ferrari and his historical victory at Monza.
While “Seppi” had already won his first Grand Prix at Brands Hatch in 1968 in a Rob Walker entered Lotus 49, before winning a second one in 1971 at Zeltweg on board of a BRM P160, car in which he sadly lost his life a few weeks later in a non-championship race.
