Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) successfully defended his title after winning the United States Grand Prix. Hamilton teammate Nico Rosberg finished runner-up for Mercedes, 59 points behind Lewis. Sebastian Vettel, finished third in his first year for Ferrari. Mercedes, managed by Toto Wolff, won their second consecutive World Constructors’ Championship with the W06 Hybrid.
