In 1969, the Automobile Club of Argentina shipped three Torinos prepared by Oreste Berta (picture-above) to participate in the “Marathon de la Route”, an 84 hours race held on the great Nürburgring.
The operation enjoyed a massive popular support in Argentina thanks to a full radio coverage, and the three cars reached the finishing line, under the leadership of team manager Juan Manuel Fangio (picture-below), who knew the Nordschleife like his back-pocket.
