Missed return

After finding glory at Indianapolis in the 60s, Lotus tried to return there in 1984 with this Lotus 95T (picture-above), based on the Formula 1 94T, but powered by a V8 Cosworth DFX.

Sadly, the team put in place by manager Ekrem Sami, the future McLaren commercial director, didn’t find the finance necessary and the project was abandoned, the unique outing of this Lotus IndyCar happening at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, a few years later (picture-below).
