Jack Brabham won his second consecutive F1 drivers’ title in 1960, with his Cooper team defending its constructors’ title. It was the last year of the 2.5 litre Formula which saw Lotus, Porsche and BRM following Coopers’ lead and campaigning rear-engined cars.
The Australian won five Grand Prix in a row: Netherlands, Belgium, France, Great-Britain and Portugal to claim his second (of three) World Drivers’ Championship.
