He would have been 61 years old today: the unforgettable Andrea de Cesaris, 208 Grand Prix in 15 seasons in Formula 1 (with one pole position and 5 podiums), great surf lover, he was known as someone who often crashed his single-seaters… (picture hereunder).
The Italian driver would very sadly died in a motorcycle accident in his beautiful city of Rome on the 5th of October 2014.
